Take a peek into a brewing day led by CSU students at the New Belgium Brewing Fermentation Science and Technology Laboratory. The lab aims to create collaborative opportunities for students and industry members, all made possible by donations.

Making it in the industry

Jeff Zdunak didn't take the traditional route to industry brewing. After he graduated from college with a degree in biology, he tested out home brewing and found his way to CSU's fermentation science program. Hear more about his journey to becoming head brewer at Horse & Dragon Brewing Co. in Fort Collins and his advice to students.

The step-by-step brewing process

Crafting beer takes expertise, science and some creativity. At the industry level, working with technology and equipment is also a critical part of the process. Check out each simplified step of the industry brewing process, which is replicated at CSU's fermentation laboratories.
